4th of July

For the 4th of July we spent a few days with Samma, Papa, Uncle Nate, Aunt Missy, Teigen, and Rourke at their Lake house. There are a few things that always happen when we all get together:

1) We always have fun.

Blowing bubbles is fun! Thanks for being the bubble maker, Teigen!

Malynn especially liked popping bubbles with Daddy and Papa.

2) We always have special moments with the kids.

When the bubble action was a bit much, Jack got this special moment with Samma.

3) We always eat lots of yummy food.

This picture doesn't feature food, but we did do a lot of eating down on this deck. When Jack discovered he could reach the tray of crackers, he parked himself by the table and helped himself. And Malynn went through more watermelon than anyone else.

4) We always have some "firsts."

Playing with the rocks on the shore and feeling the little waves from boats going by was a first.

Going on a boat ride with Samma, Papa, Aunt Missy, Teigen, & Rourke was a first.

Malynn seemed to enjoy the wind in her hair.And she got comfortable enough to sit on her own in a seat on our way home.Jack brought a favorite purple fish along for the ride.And he was sitting on his own for the ride home, too.Thanks big cousin Teigen for showing us how big kids ride on boats.
