A Perfectly Awesome Late Summer Morning

The Market at Grelen is no longer an up-and-coming pick-your-own destination...they have arrived!

I was so pleased when I took the chance on exploring a new farm with the kids and one of the first things we found was...
a sandbox!!!

There were also corn-hole boards just calling for players!

  The view was simply awesome!

And we hadn't even made it 100 feet from the car yet!

We walked around a delightful market/garden shop/cafe and scouted out the treats we wanted for after lunch. Then we hit the raspberry/blackberry patch for a little picking.
As we settled in for lunch on the HUGE stone patio, the rest of our party arrived...
Grand! (Thanks for making the trip through 95 traffic -yuck!)

The post-lunch activity was walking along the stone wall.

Everyone felt better with kids holding a grown-up's hand.

It was too cute when Liesl and Rolf....oop, I mean Malynn and Jack started holding each others' hand, too.
We had a little scoop of blueberry ice cream and then headed home.
This was our haul for the day.
Starting Sept. 5th they'll be doing free music evenings! We'll definitely be back!
