Our Outdoor Playroom
We are having the BEST time with all the new ways we can play out on our new deck! Getting the deck done in time for the summer was perfect, because it is such a great place for water play! Malynn and Jack have started asking for their shoes and heading over to the door, because they want to get out there. Summer has started to really act like summer, so today we got our blow up pool set up, and everyone jumped right in!
Malynn was the first one in. She is proving to be a real water baby! She loves to get right into the pool, splash like crazy and get all wet at the water table, and smiles and giggles the whole time!
Jack loves it too, and he is more into the water toys. He has to try everything out and figure out all sorts of ways to use different things.
They love these little wind up lady bugs that were party favors from the birthday party. Here Malynn is asking me to wind it up for her, which we do over and over until our fingers hurt. (But we're glad to do it!)
Jack would really like to figure out how to wind it for himself.
After seeing Daddy use the broom once, Jack has to do some sweeping every time he sees it now.
I did my best to keep Jack and Malynn in the shade using a big umbrella, but that just wasn't practical. So Daddy decided we needed...
...some real shade! Thanks Daddy!

The evenings are a different story -we have shade then. So walking around on the deck and a little extra water table time is our favorite after dinner/before bedtime activity these days.
The broom isn't the only big thing Jack insists on playing with. He also LOVES pushing the coolers all around the deck. It's a very important job, and he works very hard at it. It's remarkable how good he is at steering! From the looks of him here, you'd think he'd been doing it for hours!

Their little swimsuits crack me up. We end up naked around here. The deck looks awesome (and big) Nice job Mike.
