Though the birthday celebration had already come and gone, we did have a few special things on the actual birthday DAY for Malynn & Jack.
An absolute favorite activity is getting to go in and wake up any visiting grandparents! Grand had come for an overnight and was the gracious recipient of an early "good morning" on this extra special day.
Who wouldn't want to start their day with a good bounce and extra snuggle in bed?!?
Jack & Malynn had the funniest expressions when they got their individual, heart-shaped birthday cakes.
Jack seems to be thinking, "Are you guys sure it's a good idea to put this flame so close to a guy that just turned two?"
Malynn seems to be thinking, "Fire obstacle -no problem -that cake will be mine!"
Both kids actually did an impressive job helping to blow out the candle.
(FYI, dandelions make for excellent practice.)
Later that morning was our 2 year check-up. The kids are still maxing out the growth charts and passing all developmental benchmarks with flying colors.
Then we were off to the park and picked up their favorite bagel sandwich for lunch (egg, bacon, & cheddar on everything).
Okay year 3...bring it on!
